About

We are taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak and the world's highest freestanding mountain. We are doing so to support Dig Deep and raise funds to provide clean water and sanitation for schools and communities in East Africa.

Dig Deep are an amazing charity that operates projects in Kenya, where 8 out of 10 people lack access to clean water and sanitation. The main focus of their work is on the Three T's:
Taps: Providing a long-term and sustainable solution to rainwater harvesting for safe and clean water
Toilets: Building latrines in schools to ensure that all children can go to the toilet with dignity in a hygienic and private area
Training: Providing teachers and community members with training in health and hygiene, whilst also empowering women and girls through educating them about menstruation
Working in on these Three T's in unison has a compound effect in reducing disease and has a massive impact on children's health and wellbeing. Children are more like to remain in school and receive a full education. For more information visit www.digdeep.org.uk
