My Story

Hello,

My name is Patryk Lalka and I'm currently studying at the University of Brighton.

I'm raising money for a charity called Dig Deep. They aim to provide Taps, Toilets, and Training to people in Africa who don't possess the basic needs in their life. This is aimed at children who need to travel around 80 minutes a day for clean water and aren't able to get access to clean, useable toilets. This has a knock-on effect meaning they aren't able to attend school and not be able to get a job in the future, ruining their potential.

Since my first charity event, I've been in love with the whole idea of fundraising. Doing fun activities whilst raising money for people halfway across the world is amazing. Without charity work, a lot of people would be left, alone, and no change would be seen. I truly believe that by fundraising I'm helping people and you should too. I really enjoy making things happen and seeing the change as well as the efforts of our funding raising efforts.

The fundraising efforts are split 50:50, in which half the money raised goes towards the charity and half towards my trip costs.

I would be really thankful for any donation, as every pound is a step closer to an additional tap for a special child in Africa, and I'm sure it would mean the world to them.

Thank you again and have a great day!
