About
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.
As a team we are taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak and the world's tallest freestanding mountain.
We are doing so to support Dig Deep and raise funds to provide clean water and sanitation for schools and communities in East Africa.
Dig Deep are an amazing charity that operates projects in Kenya, where 8 out of 10 people lack access to clean water and sanitation. The main focus of their work is on the Three T's:
- Taps: Providing a long-term and sustainable solution to rainwater harvesting for safe and clean water.
- Toilets: Building latrines in schools to ensure that all children can go to the toilet with dignity in a hygienic and private area.
- Training: Providing teachers and community members with training in health and hygiene, whilst also empowering women and girls through educating them about menstruation..
Each of us have an overall fundraising target of £2600;
- 50% of which goes directly to unlocking the potential of communities in rural Kenya
- 50% of which goes towards our expedition costs (not including flights, we are paying for these ourselves)
Any support to help us reach our target is greatly appreciated, thank you!
