Lydia Margeson

My Story
Hello Everyone,
My name is Lydia, and in August, I will be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and the world’s highest freestanding mountain.
I am doing this to raise money for a charity called Dig Deep, who believe that every person in Kenya should have access to clean water, safe toilets, and good hygiene, which is their fundamental right. Dig Deep work especially in Bomet County where 2 out of 3 people don’t have access to clean water, 50% don’t have safe toilets, and children have no access to basic hygiene education.
Even small donations can go a long way such as a set of taps for a school only costs £12! Most of us could not imagine life without clean water and toilets, so please think about donating to Dig Deep the next time you take a luxurious bath, a hot shower, or even flush the toilet.
If you would like to support me on this challenge, I am aiming to raise £3000:
50% of which goes directly to accelerating access to water, sanitation and good hygiene in Bomet County, Kenya.
50% of which goes towards my expedition costs (not including flights, I am paying for these myself).
You can also support me in my training for this challenge, whether you want to join me for a hike, or like this post to show support, all of it would be appreciated!
