My Story

Hi, my name's Joel and in August 2023 I have set myself the challenge to climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest single free-standing mountain in the world with its summit 5,895 metres above sea level (and back down again hopefully!).

I have been given this amazing opportunity to help raise money for Dig Deep to bring sanitation and clean water to communities who need it most in Africa. Their three goals are: toilets, taps and training. As part of their work they build working toilets and install water tanks that collect water off roofs, purify it and give out clean drinking water. The third part of their mission is training. They teach communities how to properly wash their hands and educate young girls on their menstrual health, meaning they can stay in school for longer and achieve their dreams. For more information regarding the charity dig deep and the amazing work they do visit the website below.

Whilst something like having clean water may seem trivial to us over here in the UK seeing as It's just a day to day thing that we all have. We can only imagine how hard it actually is for these communities just to stay healthily hydrated. No one should have to grow up suffering from the one thing all humans need to survive, and this is why I want to conquer Kilimanjaro and I hope you guys will help support me and these communities!

With your help, together we can continue changing the lives of many. So please Dig Deep and give as little or as much as you can. Every penny helps!

Thankyou in advance for your support

Joel
